Jeff was admitted to the Ohio bar in 1963, the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Ohio in 1964, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit in 1966, the U.S. Tax Court in 1972, and the U.S. Supreme Court in 1977. He received his B.A. in 1960 from Williams College and his J.D. in 1963 from the University of Michigan. He was Chairman of the Labor Law Committee of the Dayton Bar Association from 1975 to 1976 and again from 1979 to 1980 and he is a member of the Ohio State and American Bar Associations. His areas of concentration are Corporate Law, Business and Commercial Litigation, Estate Planning and Real Estate Law.
